Research

In 2012, Chiwara began partnering with the University of Michigan to host permaculture research projects and internships. This partnership has produced numerous field based research projects, led to the creation of the University of Michigan Permaculture Design Team, A 3 acre food forest at UM's Botanical Gardens, and in 2016, the first ever permaculture design course taught for credit at the University of Michigan. Below is a sample of our collaborative research projects and reports.
