We are fortunate that in Michigan, water scarcity is not nearly as pressing an issue as it is in other parts of the world, because we have SO MUCH around us.
That is why we have an added responsibility to maintain, protect, and enhance these treasures, so that others may learn from our innovations in conservation.
For all the water we have however, there are problems. Water erosion, flooding, sewer run off, and contaminated waterways are just a few.
Permaculture water solutions revolve around catching, storing, slowing and directing water in ways that will benefit ecosystem health.
Our R&E programs inspire students to think outside of the drop, to design solutions that will benefit the future generations to come.
